On Monday, May 27th, 2024 I introduced my new bill, the Commercial to Residential Conversion Act. Developed in coordination with local city planners, this bill aims to remove a significant barrier to changing the use of buildings so they can be used for housing.

Office building vacancy is still high after the pandemic. High rises are being left unused, sitting empty while Ontarians need housing. Reducing barriers, and using what we already have, is a step towards unlocking more/affordable housing in Ontario!
